Pupils in Years 3-6 and students in Years 7-10 watched a short DVD about Readathon in assemblies this week. They listened to authors Michael Rosen and Anthony Horowitz enthuse about the joys of reading. The most important part of Readathon is to encourage reading for both pleasure and information. There is also the opportunity to raise money for charities through sponsorship and the DVD showed some of the benefits to which funds raised are put.
