news image On Wednesday, the children in Year 6 stepped back in time and experienced a day as poor Victorian children. They dressed in authentic costumes; learnt the ‘three Rs’ (reading, writing and (a)rithmetic); and suffered at the hands of strict teachers who used the Dunce’s Cap, the cane and harsh words to give them a tough, realistic insight into Victorian times.
