I would like to extend a very warm welcome and thank you for your interest in Southlands British International School. We are the only truly international school in the South of Rome and have been providing an outstanding education for over 40 years. Our students aged from 3 to 18, follow the British National Curriculum, IGCSEs, and finally, in Sixth Form, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In the Primary School and up until Year 9 in Secondary there is also an option to follow the Italian National programme as a supplementary course for native speakers of Italian.
Southlands is a very special place. We are situated in a countryside setting, just 10 minutes from the coast. We enjoy a wonderful green campus with plenty of space for children to play, to grow, and to learn. Our talented teachers bring energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for their work to the classroom every day. Southlands students are friendly, kind and great fun to know. They grow into confident, thoughtful and dedicated young men and women who achieve excellent examination results and leave school with a place at their first choice universities, and with the skills and characteristics that they will need to be successful global citizens. Internationally minded, usually speaking at least three languages fluently, they go on to follow diverse career paths around the world as well as here in Italy.
Our students and teachers also benefit from the many advantages of being part of the wider Globeducate family of schools. Whether it is the opportunity to meet other students from around the world in competitions and exchanges, or the chance to get involved and make a real difference to our local community and beyond, through our unique collaboration with WWF, the Southlands community is enriched by being part of a network of over fifty schools across 3 continents.
If you would like to find out more about how Southlands could be a great fit for your family, we would love to hear from you. At this time, although the current global situation has meant many changes to our school routines, and prevents us from holding traditional Open Days on campus, we are still welcoming prospective families to our Virtual events every month. I hope that you will get in touch so that we can offer you an individualised Admissions meeting with myself and key members of the team, and give you a glimpse into all that Southlands has to offer.
