Southlands is incredibly excited to be taking part in this year's Language & Culture Exchange Programme, in collaboration with our Globeducate partner school Agora Barcelona International School. 

LCEP (Language & Culture Exchange Programme) will bring together SBIS and Agora Barcelona students, both in Rome and in Barcelona, with the aim of offering our IBDP pupils new opportunities to engage with their language learning but also enhance international mindedness and intercultural curiosity. To this end, students will be hosted by local families from school. Through running a number of educational trips of this kind, we have found that spending time with a local family is an incredible opportunities for students who get to experience family life in the country they will be visiting. SBIS and Agora students will be attending lessons together at the host school and will enjoy day trips around the city as well as other educational and exciting activities. 

Agora Barcelona students will travel to Rome on January 31 and will stay with their host families until Saturday 4th February. Their Southlands counterparts will travel to Barcelona on 8th February where they will be staying with local families from Agora school until Sunday 12th February.

We look forward to welcoming our Spanish partners to Southlands tomorrow and are confident that this will be an invaluable experience for all the students and teachers involved.
