We are exceptionally proud of nine students who today became the first cohort to take ABRSM music exams here at Southlands.
The world renowned ABRSM is the UK's largest music education body, holding over 650,000 assessments in more than 90 countries every year.
An ABRSM grade has a worldwide currency and their exams are designed to motivate learners at all levels and ages, providing realistic goals and tangible rewards for their achievements.
Today all of our students sat their exams on the piano. Shawn (2S) and Lucie (4T) sat their pre-exam before Ryan (3L), Ludovica, Paola, Nicole (all 4T) and Megan (5D) sat their Initial Grade exam. Last but not least Leo M. (3L) and Silvester (9M) conquered their nerves to sit Grade 1.
As always, our students approached a tough exam with quiet confidence and composure, and we are sure this will be reflected in their exam grades to be received in the next few weeks.
