School life at Southlands
Southlands British International School provides an all-round educational programme which is designed to help prepare students for successful futures as global citizens.
Set in natural surroundings, our students enjoy plenty of green space in which to play, relax and learn. From Nursery through to Year 6, there is a strong focus on spending time outdoors and learning from and in nature. Every Primary area has its own learning garden, which teachers use to support curriculum delivery across all subjects.
In Secondary school, Outdoor Education is delivered through the PE programme, and also as a series of termly workshops. From Year 9, students can begin the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, to further hone the skills they have acquired and develop new ones too.
At Southlands there is a great family feel. The environment is fantastic and the school benefits from great outdoor spaces. My children are very happy to be so close to the sea as well.
